Happy 50th Birthday to Burns

Kala U-Bass “Every bass player should own one”
Tuesday, August 31st, 2010The July issue of Bass Guitar Magazine carries a very favourable review of the Kala U-Bass, a bass with polyurethane strings built on the body of a baritone ukulele. The review was written by bass and ukulele player Sam Wise who, after describing the instrument, says:
“Plug it in and this little bass is a revelation; we had been thinking of it as a travel bass but, in reality, it’s also a travel upright bass! The tone is naturally deep, rich and just as thudding as it was unplugged. (more…)
